Create an "Emotion Jar" with your child to help them visualize and manage their feelings:

  1. Take a clear jar or plastic container.

  2. Fill it with water.

  3. Add different colors of glitter, each representing a different emotion (e.g., red for anger, blue for sadness, yellow for happiness).

  4. When your child is experiencing strong emotions, have them shake the jar.

  5. As they watch the glitter swirl and slowly settle, explain how our emotions can feel chaotic at first but eventually calm down.

  6. Use this time to practice deep breathing or other calming techniques
